Tuggeranong United have announced that Mitch Stevens will take on the role of Men’s National Premier League Head Coach for the 2018 season.

Stevens brings with him experience coaching NPL first grade teams at Woden Valley and Gungahlin United, as well as an excellent reputation of professionalism.  He has completed an FFA B License course and also holds a Certificate IV in Sports Coaching.  As a player Mitch enjoyed an 11 year career at ACT Premier League level, making 142 appearances for Gungahlin Juventus, Canberra City and Woden Valley.

“We are pleased to add Mitch to our coaching team here at Tuggies”, claims TUFC President Jon Thiele.  “The depth of football coaching knowledge he possesses will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our development of talented local players.”

Tuggeranong United also acknowledged the outstanding achievements of 2017 interim coach Sean Murphy, who led the team through a turbulent season, taking over after three rounds and only narrowly missed out on a top four position.

“Sean showed enormous leadership for our club in 2017”, said Thiele, “The guy is an outstanding individual that I can’t speak highly enough of.  We genuinely appreciate his contribution to our club in 2017 and thank him for the great job that he has done.”
