Four youth players were given their PS4 National Premier League debuts on Sunday by Tuggeranong United Head Coach Miro Trninic. Reece Gurney, Marshall Smyth, Jacob Ayuel and Jack Grady (sponsored by Dominoes) all saw their first top team run against Canberra Olympic, one of the strongest teams in the league, playing constructive roles in a hard fought match, ultimately lost 2-0.
Trninic and TUFC Technical Director Steve Kunovec both say the players have impressed with their development and have shown excellent attitude and commitment in the United youth squads.
Ayuel and Gurney have been regulars in the TUFC NPL20s squad this season, with Marshall and Grady impressing enough to make their way from the NPL18s. Congratulations boys! A great example of the development focus of our program, producing homegrown youth players for our top team and beyond.
