TUFC Summer Sixes Competition overview and fee structure 2016.

The TUFC Summer Sixes is a social competition for footballers of all levels, administered by volunteers from Tuggeranong United Football Club.

All participants and team managers are expected to behave in a sportsmanlike manner appropriate to such a competition.  Verbal and physical abuse is not acceptable at any time.

Grading of divisions is minimal and mostly honesty based, although teams will be placed into divisions based on the relative playing experience of the majority of the team members (as noted on the team nomination form).  When significant mismatches of playing levels occur, the Competition Co-ordinators reserve the right to regrade teams to make the competition more fair and enjoyable for all. All teams are requested to apply a good sports approach, and perhaps consider reducing their numbers to 5 if their win is unassailable. Disputes will be heard, and a common sense approach will be applied to keep the competition ‘social’.  Serious misconduct may be reported to Capital Football, under whose endorsement this competition is run.

Washouts: All washed out matches will be rescheduled as back-to-back catch up games within 2-3 weeks of the washed out date, wherever possible.

Compulsory registration in MyFootballClub & team fee payments

All players are required to register in the TUFC Summer Sixes 2016 packages through MyFootballClub following the instructions on the website. Players must be registered before the first round of the competition, otherwise they will not be covered by insurance in the event of injury or incident. Team managers are responsible for making sure their players are appropriately registered. All individual payments of fees must be made to the team manager who will organise to pay the team fee in full prior to the first round of the competition.

Payment of team fees:

The team manager is responsible for ensuring the correct payment (including any insurance amounts) is made to the Club before the first round of the season.

Option 1:

Pay by direct debit into the club’s bank account. Please use your team name as reference.

Option 2;

Pay in cash by deposit over the counter at a Westpac branch  and use 6666661 as the reference.

You will need to email me to let me know if you pay this way, and it’s helpful if you attach a scan of the receipt. If no receipt, you must provide team name, date and amount of payment as a minimum.

Juniors

Cost: $500 per team

Insurance: Insurance for players who competed in the 2016 Capital Football Winter outdoor or futsal competitions also cover players during the Summer Sixes Competition 2016.  Players who did not compete in the 2016 Capital Football Winter outdoor or futsal competitions must complete the insurance form and pay an additional $12 to cover insurance costs (this cost is in addition to the team registration fee).

Competition dates: Friday 14th October 2016 to Friday 16th December 2016 (includes 9 round games and one week of finals)

Venue: Wanniassa District Playing Fields, Hyland Place (off Wheeler Crescent)

Game Day: Friday

Game times: First match at 17.30pm and other matches will follow at ~50 minute intervals. These times may be adjusted depending on the final number of age divisions and number of teams within each age division.

Junior open and girls only divisions

Junior open and girls’ only divisions are age grouped tournaments usually ranging from under 10 to under 18, sub-divided into the following age groupings:

Ultimately, divisional organisation depends on the number of teams entering in each age group. However, TUFC will be endeavouring to have as many girl only grades as possible. This is dependent on numbers but where ever possible this will occur.

Seniors

Game times: First match at 6:00pm and other matches will follow at ~50 minute intervals. These times may be adjusted depending on the final number of divisions and number of teams within each division.

Grades: Seniors are open tournaments for adults, sub-divided into the following divisions:

A Mixed Division in Senior competition will be considered subject to final team nominations.
