At Tuggeranong United you will find a well-run club that prides itself on development and participation, and our Junior program is at the centre of those goals. Our mission is to deliver high performance football programs that achieve results through development, community football programs that encourage participation and enjoyment, whilst preserving a passionate club culture.
Season 2019 for Juniors and MiniRoos begins on Saturday 4th May. Registrations have now closed
Our youngest players start their football careers in the MiniRoo program. Spanning age groups from Under 5 to Under 9, these games are played with modified rules and fields. The focus is on enjoying the game, in line with the Discovery phase of the FFA National Curriculum. Players learn football by playing football. At TUFC all our MiniRoo teams are open to both girls and boys.
Parents of players in these age groups should register after we announce our registrations are open, after which players will be placed in a team by our volunteers and parents will be contacted by the team manager or coach. Players in the Under 5 age group receive a ‘welcome to football’ pack as part of their registration.
From Under 10 to Under 18, our community junior league programs provide football opportunities for older children. These teams play against other ACT region clubs, with home matches at Wanniassa and away matches at various venues in the region. From Under 12 the games are played on full fields and most age groups have several divisions to cater for different levels. At these levels TUFC offers both open teams (boys and girls) and girls teams (girls only).
Parents of players in this program should read our grading details here.
