Tuggeranong United is pleased to announce its NPLW First Grade and NPLW Reserves Head Coaches for the 2022 season.

Congratulations to Paulo Romero, who continues as our NPLW First Grade Coach after a strong finish to this season with our First Grade side and congratulations to Andrew Pickett, who after securing a Top 4 finish with our NPLW 17s in 2021 steps into our NPLW Reserves Head Coach role.

Of the 2022 season, Paulo says, “Reason for returning for the 2022 season at TUFC? I really enjoyed the short time I had working with the Firsts and Reserves this season. In the short time I had with the squads I saw players that wanted to work hard and improve, who were also up for the challenge that we set. I am aiming to continue the mindset and style that the players took onboard this season. I really enjoyed watching the teams improve throughout the season and that for me is what it’s about when you have a group of players that are working for each other and pushing each other to improve every week! I strongly believe that with a good preseason combined with the style and mindset that the players have now taken onboard we can have a successful season. I am really looking forward to working and helping the players prepare for a successful 2022 season.”

Similarly, Andrew says, “Why am I returning for another season with Tuggies NPLW? It's pretty simple, it's because the players I have coached in the program want to improve, they want to be challenged. To top it off, they are a fantastic group, we can find the balance between working hard and being able to have a laugh. After a great season in 2021 with the Tuggies U17 NPLW I am really looking forward to helping where I can to see the program and players continue to develop and improve.”

We wish both Paulo and Andrew all the best for a successful 2022 season with our NPLW program.
